(November 27, 2007--Chicago, IL)--The U.S. Department of Labor's Employee Benefits Security Administration is hosting a free 2-hour webcast on December 6 to discuss regulatory issues related to the Pension Protection Act of 2006. The PPA made significant changes affecting the operation of 401(k) and other ERISA-governed retirement plans. The webcast will be on Thursday, December 6, from noon until 2 pm. To register for the webcast go to http://www.dol.gov/ebsa (see link under "Compliance Assistance Seminars"). Though free, registration is required. This will be the first of a series of webcast on the PPA addressing statutory exemptions on investment advice, service providers and corrected transactions, pension benefit statements and regulations on default investments.
